Milano

The “dream” began with the desire to bring pizza perfection from Italy to Ireland to satisfy the increasingly discerning palates of Irish customers. In 1995 the dream turned into reality with the opening of the first Milano restaurant in Dawson Street, Dublin.

Dublin had never experienced such pizza perfection before! The first Milano soon became a favourite due to its relaxed and sociable atmosphere as well as for its fabulous pizzas and salads. The restaurant was frequently mentioned as a favourite meeting place of several modern Irish writers and artists.

The demand for pizza perfection grew and Milano restaurants, each with their own distinctive personalities and styles, opened in Temple Bar, Cork, Galway, Limerick, at the IFSC in Dublin, Dundrum new town centre and at Grand Canal Harbour.

New Milano restaurants have been springing up for the last few years. The most recent Milanos have opened at Haddington Road and Ranelagh in Dublin, as well as in Ennis and Killarney. These are set to become firm favourites with local workers and residents as well as tourists.
