Adding Carrots and raisins to the Flahavan’s Progress Oatlets not only is one of your five a day but also a great way to mix up your breakfasts. This quick and easy recipe will allow you feel less guilty when indulging this Easter, as the morning was spent eating nutritious, vitamin filled Flahavan’s Carrot Cake Porridge.

Carrot Cake Porridge

Serves 4 people

Takes 10 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

  • 120g Flahavan’s Quick Oats/Progress Oatlets
  • 750ml Whole Milk
  • 2 medium carrots, peeled and finely grated
  • 15g raisins
  • 15ml/1 tablespoon honey
  • 15ml/1 tablespoon water
  • 1/8 teaspoon of cinnamon

METHOD:

  • Prepare your porridge as per the instructions on each Flahavan’s pack
  • Put the topping ingredients in a small pot and bring to a simmer.
  • Cook gently for 4-5 minutes.
  • Serve hot or cold on top of your porridge.

Top Tip: This topping will keep in the fridge for several days!
