Who doesn’t love a crispy, crunchy tortilla chip dunked and LOADED with flavour-packed dip? This Cinco de Mayo, customers can pick up our famous €1.50 sharing bags of tortilla chips for just 80c. What’s more, our ‘chips’ are authentic corn masa tortillas, meaning they’re also gluten free.

But what flavour combo will you go for? Jalapeno Tortillas (€1.50) with Guacamole (€3)? Nacho Cheese Tortillas (€1.50) with Onion & Garlic Dip (€2)? QUICK AND EASY MARGARTIA RECIPE …

This week grab a bottle of Cazcabel tequila (€32.50) and Spanish Blood Orange Juice (€2.50) from our stores and try your hand at making a super quick, easy, refreshing and zesty frozen blood orange margarita. With a rich, earthy agave flavour, citrus notes and a black pepper finish, our Cazcabel tequila is the perfect celebration tipple. To make use juice of one blood orange, squeeze of lime, 50ml M&S Blood Orange Juice, 50ml Cazcabel Tequila, and a handful of ice – simply whizz in a blender until smooth and slushy. TACO TIME …

These are not just any tacos … these are our Birria-style tacos developed by chef Chris Baber, Chris spotted the growing trend of birria-style tacos and decided to put an M&S spin on them with our slow cooked chicken fajita thighs.

*They are usually made with lamb or beef*

With slow-cooked fajita chicken and a delicious, tangy homemade salsa, this Mexican-inspired dish is set to be a real winner.

Ingredients (serves 4)

1 pack slow-cooked fajita chicken thighs

Pickled red onion, drained and finely chopped

3 plum tomatoes, cut into quarters, seeds removed and chopped

1 red chilli, finely chopped, with or without seeds

½ bunch coriander, finely chopped, including stalks

A little olive oil

8 soft taco wraps

1 pack cheddar and mozzarella mix

Method

  1. Cook the chicken as per pack instructions. Once cooked, shred the chicken, and reserve the juices.
  2. Make the salsa by mixing together the red onion, tomato, chilli and coriander, and then dress with olive oil.
  3. To cook the tacos, heat a large pan (big enough to fit 2 tacos) to a medium heat.
  4. Place 2 tacos into the dry pan, then place a small handful of cheese mix on top and allow to melt slightly, then top with a small mound of shredded chicken and a little cooking juice. Spoon on some of the salsa then flip the taco in on itself and continue to toast for a few minutes.
  5. Turn the taco once more, so that both sides are well toasted and the juices are running into the toasted wrap.
  6. Serve with extra salsa.
