OCTOBER 2024 – Caretaker’s Cottage will make their Irish debut at Dublin’s award winning 9 Below which will run on the evening of Wednesday, 16th October. Caretaker’s Cottage, voted as one the World’s Best 50 Bar’s, is coming to Ireland for the very first time. For one night only, bespoke cocktails created with Roe & Co, Ketel One, Tanqueray No. Ten and Don Julio and crafted by the bar’s founders will be available for cocktail aficionados to enjoy.

All the way from Melbourne, Caretaker’s Cottage is a cosy pub serving up impeccable drinks alongside world class service with an innovative menu that keeps guests returning again and again. After opening in early 2022, the unique bar has won numerous awards for its distinct approach to hospitality. Announced as one of the World’s Best 50 Bar’s reaching No.23 last year, they have recently won the accolade of the “Art of Hospitality award” at this year’s ceremony. The World’s 50 Best Bars is a prestigious annual list that celebrates the best of the international drinks industry, providing a ranking of bars as voted for by drinks experts from across the globe.

The event will be hosted by Ryan Noreiks and Tom McHugh from Caretaker’s Cottage who will shake up their popular serves for guests to savour. Co-owner of Caretaker’s Cottage, Ryan has a career spanning over 20 years in the hospitality industry across Australia and China. Before starting at Caretaker’s Cottage, Tom is part of the senior management team and has an extensive background in Melbourne’s thriving bar scene.

The night, which kicks off at 7pm will be a feast for the senses, where visitors are invited to immerse themselves in a world of exquisite flavours and innovative cocktails. Hosted by cocktail experts at the top of their game, the evening promises to excite and delight with guests taking in top tips on the art of cocktail making and enjoy interactive displays that makes their cocktails so sought-after.

The perfect mid-week treat, the event is sure to be a hit where guests can enjoy delicious sips in the beautiful surroundings of 9 Below.  From the ‘Don’t give up the ship’ cocktail with Tanqueray No. Ten gin, sweet vermouth, dry curaçao and Fernet Branca and to the ‘Malted Bali’ created with Roe & Co whiskey, pandan, coconut caramel and wattle pollen sherry, there’s a flavour for every palette. This unique opportunity extends the normal bar experience, allowing attendees to take in the world of cocktails in a chic speakeasy in the heart of Dublin’s social scene.
