A collection of over 100 food producers is set to make seasonal feasting and gifting easy at Ireland’s largest Christmas craft fair.
The Spectacular Christmas Food Emporium will feature at Gifted, The Contemporary Craft and Design Fair, which returns to the RDS from December 4-8.
Among the highlights are O’Neills Dry Cure Bacon Company, who pride themselves on bacon that doesn’t shrink in the pan.
A family company founded 21 years ago by husband and wife Pat and Mary, O’Neills produce award-winning bacon dry-cured by hand, with 30% less salt than average and no added water or phosphates.
For coffee to accompany the fry-up, look no further than The Studio Coffee Roasters, who roast high-quality, ethically sourced coffee beans from around the world.
Experts in roasting speciality coffee, The Studio Coffee Roasters import coffee from 14 countries, mostly small farms in Africa, Central America, and South America and roast them as single origin lots.
Their show-stopping piece is their original cold brew, which has been awarded 3-stars at the Great Taste Awards 2024, placing it among the top 1.9% of 13,672 entries from 115 countries.
Also featuring at the fair and perfect for gifting and snacking alike, Harry’s Nut Butter is a line of artisanal peanut butters and nut butter chocolate truffles.
Ranging from savoury to sweet, their entire line of flavoured nut butters are plant-based and free from refined sugar free and palm oil.
For an unexpected source of delicious antioxidants, Feighery’s Farm Beetroot Juice is made up of just two natural Irish ingredients: homegrown Offaly beetroot and Tipperary apples sourced from Con Traas’s Apple Farm outside Cahir.
A family orientated business, the beetroot for the juice is all grown pesticide-free on the family farm in Co Offaly and the award-winning juice is naturally sweet with no added sugar.
Beetroot is being hailed as an Irish superfood, loaded with antioxidants, vitamin C, potassium, iron, folic acid, nitrates and more.
Amongst the 100 other food producers within the Food Emporium at Gifted, Taste with Gusto are bringing the finest in fresh seasonal extra virgin olive oil among their range of high quality artisan Italian delicacies.
Novello, the speciality olive oil, is available right after production every November, and is full of antioxidants and can be enjoyed as a natural supplement, other than a delicious cooking condiment.
Taste with Gusto offer the Irish the chance to get authentic artisan delicacies they would usually only get in Italy, while on holiday.
Aside from the extra virgin olive oil, expect pasta, balsamic vinegars, pasta sauces and pesto, savoury snacks, dips, spreads, and olives.
On Wednesday, December 4 there is 10% off all purchases at the Fair, making it a great day to attend if you have a long list of Christmas presents to pick up.
Gifted, the Contemporary Craft and Design Fair, will take place at Dublin’s RDS from Wednesday, December 4 to Sunday, December 8, with late night shopping from Wednesday-Friday until 9pm. Full details and booking can be found at www.giftedfair.ie.
