Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown is all lit up this Christmas to spread light and joy. The county sparkles with thousands of lights and several buildings are bathed with a magical glow. A very special ‘Tree of Hope’ and a beautifully illuminated forest walk at Marlay Park at radiates with optimism for brighter times ahead as we emerge from the darkness of 2020.
Santa Post Boxes are in place at dlr LexIcon in Dún Laoghaire, Marlay Park in Rathfarnham, Deerpark in Mount Merrion and Cabinteely Park by special commission of Santa Claus and children are encouraged to get their letters off early this year and Santa will reply to each and every one. Santa is going high-tech with a special Santa Vlog from the North Pole each Saturday before Christmas in December on dlr Events Facebook. This free online vlog will connect children with Santa Claus in a dramatically new and personal way “live” from the North Pole.
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council’s Christmas Market is going virtual this year and it is a great opportunity to showcase the wide range of exciting and innovative business across the county. Businesses are invited to take part by shooting a video of not more than 1 minute in duration and full information is available from events.dlrcoco.ie
