As the evenings draw in and autumn settles over the Carlow countryside, Lisnavagh Estate is inviting guests to embrace the changing season with an Autumn/Winter programme spanning food, nature, movement, creativity, deep rest – and even a little murder mystery.

Set amid the woodlands, gardens and historic surroundings of the estate near Rathvilly, Co. Carlow, the programme runs from September through November, offering everything from harvest celebrations and seasonal dining to restorative yoga, arts and wellbeing and an atmospheric country-house whodunnit.

The Lisnavagh Seasonal Feast with Santina Kennedy | 1 October
Food takes centre stage on 1 October with The Lisnavagh Harvest Supper, hosted by award-winning Irish food consultant and food tourism specialistSantina Kennedy. Guests will tour the Walled Garden with market gardener and permaculture teacher Andrew Jordan, discover the history of Lisnavagh with William Bunbury, before gathering for an autumn feast created by chef Steve Mercer, celebrating produce from the garden alongside locally sourced ingredients and meats cooked over fire.

Healthy Harvest | 3 October
On 3 October, Healthy Harvest brings together Andrew Jordan and wellness advocate and plant-based cook Holly White for a day celebrating seasonal food and growing. Guests will explore the Walled Garden, learn about autumn harvesting and planting, enjoy a plant-powered cookery demonstration and sit down to a seasonal lunch.

Hidden Hearth: Arts, Wisdom & Wellbeing Festival | 9–11 October
From 9–11 October, Hidden Hearth returns to Lisnavagh, bringing together music, art, poetry, performance and craft alongside talks, workshops and holistic practices in an intimate weekend centred around creativity, community and connection.

The ReSet Retreat | 23–25 October
Yoga teacher and somatic educator Deirdre Desmond hosts The ReSet, a three-day retreat combining yoga, somatic movement, restorative practices, nourishing food and time in nature, designed to create space to step away from everyday life and reconnect.

Big Yin, Nidra & Movement | 5–8 November
As winter approaches, Big Yin, Nidra & Movement offers four days of mindful movement, Yin practice and deep relaxation, with plenty of time to rest and enjoy the quieter rhythm of Lisnavagh and its surrounding countryside.

Yoga & Sleep | 20–22 November
The Yoga & Sleep Retreat with Pamela Butler combines yoga and meditation with woodland walks, nourishing food, fireside relaxation and the increasingly rare luxury of proper rest – including plenty of permission for afternoon siestas.

Murder at Lisnavagh | 28 November
The season ends on a rather different note with Murder at Lisnavagh, an interactive Murder Mystery Night in partnership with Murder Mystery Ireland. Guests become characters in a country-house whodunnit, with dinner, clues, secrets, suspicious alibis and red herrings – and a murderer somewhere in their midst…
