Brace yourself – The Nightmare Realm is back in town! And this year they’re celebrating 15 years of screams with an all new show.

Fan favourite Molly Mayhem and her ghoul gang can’t wait to welcome people ‘home’ to the City Market, as they bring the chaotic energy and sinister laughs to Europe’s Best Scream Park.

The Nightmare Realm’s latest show, Village of Fear XV, opens tonight at the historic City Market on Mary’s Lane Dublin with five brand-new terrifying scare mazes, new immersive secret rooms, the Museum of Horrors, and a larger food court, making it a must-visit this Halloween season.

The preview left those attending screaming and laughing in equal measures.

Village of Fear XV is the largest and most immersive experience yet at The Nightmare Realm, dubbed “Ireland’s Home of Halloween.  “This year’s event is often described as an “open-world gaming meets Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights,”. Karl O’Connor, the mastermind behind the event says. “The Nightmare Realm is an event where you can leave reality at the door, and step into our world.  It pushes your limits whilst also offering thrills, screams, and unforgettable moments together.”

Voted Ireland’s Best Halloween Experience and Europe’s Best Scream Park consecutively for the last two years, the event will operate on selected nights throughout October until November 1st.

This season marks the 15th anniversary of The Nightmare Realm, Ireland’s original walk-through scare experience and the nation’s only indoor scream park. Each year, the creators outdo themselves with new themes, groundbreaking mazes, and interactive elements. Prepare to leave your wits at the door as you dive into the Village of Fear XVexperience, complete with five new scare attraction mazes:

  • House of Little Red
  • Possession 1692
  • The Meat Market
  • Slappy’s Birthday Bash
  • The Last Gas Station on The Left

As Karl explains, “The mazes we’ve created immerse you into a different world, sometimes even a different era! Guests can find themselves navigating hidden alleyways, being brought into side quests and even secret rooms! Each maze is designed differently too, to keep it fresh for fans.. Whether you’re a story-driven participant or just here for the scares, we aim to deliver a world-class, unforgettable experience.  Expect laughs, screams, and spine-chilling moments around every corner.”

This year’s experience doesn’t stop with the scare mazes. The expanded Halloween Town offers street theatre, The Dark Circus, as well as nightly performances from dance troupe House of Swag. You’ll also find spooky shops like Beelz and Sons funeral parlour, Obscura antiques and oddities, White Witch Creations, and Trick or Treat for some sweet treats. Visitors can indulge in tarot readings, grab a bite to eat at the food court, or even get a temporary tattoo from Nothing Lasts Forever Tattoo Parlour.

The Museum of Horrors is also back and better than ever, offering the perfect spot for Halloween selfies amidst childhood monsters and cult horror movie props.

Popular among everyone aged 13 and over, it’s a must-visit destination during October.

The Nightmare Realm runs for 22 select nights until November 1st. Tickets, starting from €24, grant access to all five mazes and Halloween Town. Tickets sell out quickly, so pre-booking is essential.  For more information and to purchase tickets, visit thenightmarerealm.ie.
