A Dublin jeweller who has created ten rings for Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson’s latest movie is among the top creative talents at Gifted – The Contemporary Craft and Design Fair which opens in Dublin’s RDS on Wednesday December 5 and runs untilSunday 9.

Jeweller Pierce Healy has been chosen by Jackson to design the rings for his new film Mortal Engines which opens in cinemas on December 8.

Also exhibiting at Gifted is illustrator Roger O’Reilly whose Lighthouses of Ireland book has just won this year’s An Post best Irish Published Book award.

With over 500 designers, makers and artisan food producers displaying original gifts, the traditional opening to the festive season in Dublin is set to attract over 45,000 people in five days.

“Gifted is a celebration of Christmas giving and will feature the country’s largest collection of thoughtful gifts for your loved ones,” said organiser Patrick O’Sullivan.

There will be 10% off everything at Gifted on the opening day, Wednesday, December 5.
