A stellar line-up including The Streets, Art of Football and Willy’s Pies is coming to town this December to bring the Premier League to life for Irish fans!
Guinness, the official beer of the Premier League today announces a dedicated football event celebrating the launch of its new campaign “Guinness Time”.
On Saturday, 7 December, Guinness Time will kick off in The Bernard Shaw pub in Dublin with an epic Premier League experience. Football fans can expect incredible musical guests, delicious match day food, Premier League games on big screens, and of course, creamy pints of Guinness!
Topping the bill, UK hip-hop and garage sensation The Streets will return to Dublin for one of its most intimate shows in Ireland to date to bring extra game day magic to fans.
Speaking ahead of the event, The Streets’ Mike Skinner said: “George Bernard Shaw said that all great truths begin as blasphemies. I don’t think it’s blasphemous to say that apparently there’s 300,000,000 bubbles in every pint of Guinness, which is a lot. Apparently only 300 people can get into this upcoming gig in Dublin, which is not a lot. We’ll see you at the Bernard Shaw, let’s make sure the craic is 90.”
Hosted by former League of Ireland and FAI player Vanessa Ogbonna, the Guinness Time launch event will celebrate football and the connections it forges across communities. Whether it’s the ritual of the pre-game pint in the pub or getting deep into half-time analysis with your mates, Guinness is bringing people together to share in the passion of the world’s most exciting football league.
And for a real taste of the Premier League, London gourmet pie makers and football mega fansWilly’s Pies will be rolling into Dublin with a mouthwatering Beef Shin & Guinness pie created especially for Guinness Time for hungry fans on the day!
That’s not all. Art of Football, who has just announced a range of Guinness inspired apparel, will be lending its weight to the event by curating a pop-up exhibition of Irish art to be hung on the walls of The Bernard Shaw. Artists including the likes of Conor Nolan, Fiona McDonnell and David J McMillan were tasked with representing some of the greatest moments in Football history, in their own unique style.
Alan McAleenan, Guinness Marketing Director commented: “We are delighted to be celebrating the Guinness partnership with the Premier League at this ultimate football event in The Bernard Shaw. The pub is at the heart of Irish culture, and for football fans it’s the home away from home. We’re thrilled to be bringing it all together with Guinness Time.”
Throughout the day, there will also be tunes from Dublin’s DJ Mango, a pop-up vintage football jersey market by 35 Vintage and epic spot-prizes from Art of Football.
Guinness Time is the first event in Ireland as part of Guinness’ four-year global partnership with the Premier League, marking its status as the Official Beer and Official Non-Alcoholic Beer of the league.
Tickets for the Guinness Time launch event on Saturday 7 December 2024 will be available at 12pm on Friday 29 November from https://www.guinness.com/en-ie/guinness-time
