Located in Arnotts, Dublin’s iconic department store, Henry’s by Gourmet Food Parlour is a new café serving up a selection quick delicious bites designed to grab on the go
November 2024: Gourmet Food Parlour, leading independent Irish restaurant and catering group has announced the opening of Henry’s by Gourmet Food Parlour, a new café venture located in Dublin’s favourite shopping district, Henry Street. Located by Eason in Arnotts, the beautiful new café is an excellent addition to the F&B offering in the department store, as well as being incredibly convenient for shoppers, it is the ideal place to grab lunch on the go for busy city centre workers.
Henry’s ‘Grab & Go’ style is a business first for Gourmet Food Parlour and is part of an ongoing strategy to prioritise and meet the needs of city centre customers, while consistently diversifying the restaurant and catering groups dining offering. Henry’s is the fourth GFP dining concept to arrive in Arnotts and while this concept may be fast, the quality is top notch and in line with what customers expect from the established restaurant group. The aesthetic and décor of the space has a warm atmosphere, creating the perfect café environment.
While there is a 35-seater sit-in option where you can take a break and enjoy your meal, the menu in Henry’s is designed for those on the go who want to grab something convenient without having to sacrifice on taste or quality ingredients. The café will feature a selection of warming soups and handmade sandwiches, from breakfast butties to three cheese toasties or the classic GFP Ham and Cheese, customers can expect a combination of new menu items and signature GFP flavours and favourites. There is also wide selection of acai bowls to choose from – the perfect choice for a light, yet nourishing, grab and go option packed with antioxidants – alongside the fresh house smoothies, juices and home brewed ice teas.
There is an array of organic homemade pastries available as well as sweet and savoury treats such as homemade sausage rolls, cinnamon rolls, almond croissants or a banana loaf – to name a few!
There is a wide variety of hot drinks available at Henry’s including teas, coffees and an exclusive hot chocolate menu with a choice between the Classic French, a rich hot chocolate served with fresh cream, or a Smores Hot Chocolate which includes the GFP signature hot chocolate blend, marshmallow fluff and chocolate drizzle. There is a selection of iced drinks which are available all year round including iced coffees, cold brew, green and peach teas or matcha.
The kid’s menu includes toasties, sausage sambos or pizza bagels for just €5.00, with a selection of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options also available.
On the opening of Henry’s, Founder & CEO, Lorraine Heskin, said:
“The “grab & go” style business concept is a new area for GFP, but it’s something I’m really excited about. Henry’s will be a welcome addition to the hustle and bustle of Henry Street and while of course there is still a dine-in option available, I believe the decision to elevate and prioritise the takeaway offering was essential given the location of the café.
It’s always been a priority for Gourmet Food Parlour to serve quality food using fresh and organic produce as much as possible in all our locations and the same can be said for Henry’s. We want to ensure that although we are serving food to go it won’t lack on flavour or quality.
I’m looking forward to seeing Henry’s become part of the community in town. Whether you’re someone living local, a Saturday shopper, a tourist visiting or working in the area – Henry’s has something for everyone!”
Gourmet Food Parlour started as a small café in Dun Laoghaire in 2006. Led by Founder, CEO and EY Entrepreneur of the Year finalist, Lorraine Heskin, the business has since grown exponentially. Since taking over the Arnotts restaurants in 2023, the company now employs over 300 people across ten locations nationwide. Specifically, in Arnotts, Gourmet Food Parlour now has four unique dining concepts in the department store, including Kitchen Italian by Gourmet Food Parlour, The Corner Café by Gourmet Food Parlour, Homemade by Gourmet Food Parlour and now Henry’s. Each dining concept in Arnotts fulfills a unique consumer need that has now been fully rounded out by the addition of Henry’s.
