Welcome to WA SUSHI  We are the first authentic sushi bar in Ireland and a serious sushi maker!

Originating in the Galway Market, we continue to evolve to ensure we craft the best sushi in Ireland. Our fish remain the finest local catch from Gannet Fishmongers and our Shokunin has recently returned from training in Nagoya.  We have been proudly selling high quality Japanese food in Galway since 2002.

We remain driven in our passion to provide a delicious and harmonious experience to all of our customers. We have something for everyone, from traditional Sushi to popular Asian cuisine like Ramen, Vegan friendly options and an authentic Omakase experience for the adventurer.

We are looking forward to welcoming you many times and inspiring each time with our freshly made sushi.

All food, sauces and stocks are carefully made on the premises.

We are going to re-start our sushi workshop in WA SUSHI from January 2023

Yoshimi will show you the magic of sushi making, how to cook sushi rice & making sushi rolls. Very hands on and fun workshop.

Everyone can make perfect maki roll in the end of the session!

There’s tasting the sushi you made & interacting with premium Japanese tea and seasonal dessert.
