Mothers come in all shapes and forms, so this 30th of March you may wish to treat the Mother Figure in your life, be it your Mum, your granny, aunt, bestie or even if your Dad has been your Mother Figure, there are some lovely ways to do so at the five star InterContinental Dublin. Catch up over brunch in their stylish Seasons Restaurant or while a way a few hours together with a leisurely Afternoon Tea in the luxurious Lobby Lounge overlooking the Garden Terrace.

Mother’s Day Brunch in the stylish Seasons Restaurant is a treat indeed where a delicious three-course menu will be served with an unlimited dessert buffet created by Executive Pastry Chef Orna Larkin. There will be a Bloody Mary and Mimosa station, and each mother figure will receive a posy of tulips on departure.  Mother’s Day Brunch is available from 12.00pm – 4.30pm priced at €75 pp with food and €90pp with a Bloody Mary or choice of Mimosas.

To ensure your Mother Figure can relax and enjoy their day off,  Executive Chef Alberto Rossi and his team has created a delicious, relaxed brunch on the 30th  with starters including Brioche French Toast with Caramelised Banana, Crispy Bacon, Whipped Mascarpone Cream;

Roasted Tomato Soup – Sunkissed Cherry Tomatoes with Focaccia Croutons and fresh Basil;

Poached Prawn Cocktail with Crushed Avocado, Iceberg Lettuce, Mary-Rose Sauce & Lobster Salad; Tender Buttermilk Chicken Caesar Salad or enjoy a late breakfast of Smashed Avocado, Sourdough Bread, Poached Eggs, Nduja and Italian Sausage, Cherry Tomatoes.

For mains enjoy Roasted Striploin with Mash Potato, Yorkshire Pudding, Braised Cabbage & Red Wine Sauce; Sardinian Fregola Pasta with Mussels, Clams, Octopus, Tomato Sauce, Bottarga; Braised Chicken Cacciatore with olives, crushed potatoes; Bucatini Carbonara with Smoky Guanciale;  Panfried Atlantic Cod served with Crushed Potatoes, Pea Puree’, and Brown Shrimps Butte.

The unlimited dessert buffet will be full of gorgeous indulgent treats created by Orna including Strawberry Victoria Sponge, Fresh Berry Pavlova, Chocolate Mousse Cake, Raspberry Ripple Marshmallow, Rhubarb Galette, Raspberry Streusel Bars, Pear and Blackberry Bakewell, Lemon Posset with Blueberry Compote, Apple Crumble Sponge…Sweet!

If the Mother Figure in your life enjoys an indulgent Afternoon Tea, then treat them to the InterContinental Dublin’s special Mothering Sunday Afternoon Tea in the Lobby Lounge to the background of the resident pianist as you look out over the terrace gardens. 

Guests can enjoy an array of delicate finger sandwiches, such as Roasted Ham and Dubliner Cheese on Tomato Bread; Cream cheese & Cucumber Sandwich on Lemon Bread; Smoked Salmon on Mini Brioche and Lemon Chicken Wraps. Then next the Hotel’s infamous freshly baked scones, a selection of plain and fruit scones served with clotted cream and a selection of homemade preserves, followed by delicate pastries and decadent desserts including Dark Chocolate and Olive Oil cake; Yuzu, Strawberry and Tonka Bean Tart; Nectarine and Raspberry Sponge or Orange and Vanilla Basque Cheesecake created by award winning pastry chef Orna Larkin, with a selection of fresh coffees and a selection of Ronnefeldt Loose Tea.

Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea is available from Friday, March 28th to Sunday, March 30th from 12pm to 4.30pm and costs €80pp. Mum will also be gifted a traditional cake to take home and a posy of 10 tulips.
