One of The Kingdom’s most-loved locations, Sammy’s Bar & Restaurant at Inch Beach has undergone a €100,000 investment to refresh the iconic beach-side spot ahead of the 2022 summer season. To celebrate, Sammy’s is hosting a Summer Launch Party on 4th June welcoming customers old and new to start the summer in style.

Sammy’s Bar & Restaurant at Inch Beach which is owned by Kilkenny Group, is a renowned destination for beach-goers and tourists alike and the latest refresh comes just in time for the summer staycation season.

Sammy’s new look and feel includes a brand new beachside experience – A stretch tent with beanbags, dining chairs and tables with laid back tunes makes for a perfect hideaway, whatever the weather. Sammy’s has also updated its menu offering with brand new street-food style bites and a new summer cocktail menu and with later opening hours for the summer months, food will be served until 10pm in July and August.

The new beach shop will also stock the exclusive Sammy’s at Inch Beach clothing range (fleeces, hats, hoodies, ceramics).

Guests are invited to kick off the summer with Sammy’s on the 4th June from 1pm for the Summer Launch Party. Customers can enjoy complimentary canapés, prosecco for the first 100 guests, competitions and spot prizes throughout the day while a house DJ will set the tone for a cool summer beach vibe and celebrate the start of summer!

Manager at Sammy’s Bar & Restaurant on Inch Beach, Chris O’Gorman, said ‘We’re very excited for the upcoming summer season and the new experience on offer at Sammy’s. Inch Beach is an amazing location and we are delighted to have an offering to suit all beachgoers this summer. From a delicious new menu to our new beachside tent to cater for all weathers, we’re looking forward to welcoming locals and holidaymakers back to Sammy’s with our friendly team providing top service with a side of craic. We’re already seeing an influx of visitors post-Covid which is hugely positive ahead of the summer 2022 season.”

CEO of Kilkenny Group, Evelyn Moynihan, said “The Covid-19 pandemic saw the rise of the staycation with Irish people rediscovering their love for local and the best of what Ireland has to offer. This investment and refresh were so important for us to continue to provide the best experience for all at Sammy’s Bar & Restaurant and visitors to Inch Beach. It’s been a challenging two years for the hospitality industry and it’s more important now than ever that we support local. As founders of the Champion Green initiative, we have launched our new nationwide campaign to encourage everyone to ‘Support Local & Together We Rise’ to help our towns and communities remain vibrant for future generations. Every €1 spent locally results in an injection of at least €2.50 in the local economy. It’s important we choose consciously and think where we spend our money.”
