Galway-based organic tea company recognised at Bord Bia’s National Organic Awards in Dublin.
The award was presented for Solaris Botanicals’ Loose Leaf Tea at a ceremony in Dublin on Thursday, 24th September, recognising the company’s commitment to organic quality, distinctive brand story and continued development of the Solaris Botanicals brand.
The National Organic Awards are held every two years and celebrate excellence, innovation and leadership across Ireland’s growing organic food and farming sector. For the Best Irish Organic Brand category, entrants were assessed on their organic brand story and authenticity, brand positioning and differentiation, evidence of market opportunity and traction, quality of packaging and brand communications, and relevance to evolving consumer needs and trends.
Karin Muller, Co-Founder of Solaris Botanicals, said, “We are incredibly proud to be named Best Irish Organic Brand. Organic has been at the heart of Solaris from the beginning, so to have our work recognised at a national level by Bord Bia means a great deal to our entire team. For us, organic is about much more than certification. It is part of a wider commitment to quality, purity and responsible sourcing, from the ingredients we select to how we blend and package our teas here in Galway. ”
The recognition comes at a time of significant growth for Ireland’s organic sector. Bord Bia research shows that the value of the Irish organic market increased by 12.5% in 2025 compared with 2024, reflecting growing consumer interest in organic food and drink.
“Winning Best Irish Organic Brand validates our core commitment to uncompromised quality, spring-flush organic sourcing, and zero artificial additives,” said Jörg Müller, CEO and Master Tea Blender at Solaris Botanicals. “As a certified B Corporation with an outstanding 108.9 B Impact score, this accolade provides powerful momentum as we expand our retail presence across Ireland and international markets.”
Solaris was selected by an independent judging panel comprising chef and author Lily Higgins, food writer Suzanne Campbell, food consultant Annie Dunne, retail expert John McDonagh and organic sector expert Colin Keogh. Other winners at the 2026 National Organic Awards included Burren Beef & Farm, Dunnes Stores, Irish Seaspray / Oileán Mara Teo, Coghlan’s Artisan Bakers and Airfield Estate.
The award adds to a growing list of accolades for Solaris Botanicals and reinforces the Galway company’s long-standing commitment to producing premium organic tea while building a responsible and sustainable Irish brand.
