Dublin’s much-loved neighbourhood café is opening after dark with natural wine, snacks and a buzzy, no-reservations wine bar


Fairview is getting a new after-dark hangout, as Two Pups Fairview opens its doors in the evenings for the first time bringing natural wine, good food and laid-back neighbourhood bar energy to Dublin 3.

Following the success of the Fairview café since opening in 2023, the Two Pups team has long wanted to bring the much-loved local to life after hours. Now, every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening, the café will become a cosy, buzzy wine bar where the focus is firmly on good wine, good food and good chats.

Expect a rotating selection of natural and low-intervention wines, available by the glass or bottle, with the line-up changing throughout the evening. Guests can chat to the team about what’s open, try something new or settle in with a glass of something they already know and love.
The Fairview space may be cosy, but that’s exactly the vibe the team is going for. With four stools inside and five tables outside, the café has always had a more casual, takeaway-led feel than its Francis Street sibling. Come evening, that will evolve into a buzzy neighbourhood spot where people can stand around with a glass of wine, grab some food to take home, or find a seat and settle in for the evening.

It’s giving San Sebastián pintxos bar energy, Dublin neighbourhood style – informal, lively and designed for dropping in.
The opening menu is made for sharing, snacking and pairing with a glass or two, with the likes of Gubbeen Arancini (€5 each), Focaccia with Tomato & Olive Salsa (€5.50), Japanese-style Crispy Chicken (€16) with a choice of Date Ketchup, Kewpie Mayo or Chipotle Mayo, andCrispy Potato Gratin Chips with Cacio e Pepe Sauce (€10).
For those with a sweet tooth, Bold Boy Bakery Tiramisu (€12) rounds things off, while a €28 per person sharing menu brings together an arancini, focaccia, crispy chicken, potato chips and dessert.

Speaking about the launch, Two Pups co-founder Zoe Ewing Evans says:
“We’ve wanted to open Fairview in the evenings for a long time, so it’s exciting to finally make it happen. Fairview has such a strong neighbourhood feel, and we think there’s a real appetite for somewhere relaxed where you can pop in for a glass of wine, have a chat, grab something to eat and see where the evening takes you.


“We’ve got a taste for evenings since opening Notions on Francis Street, but Fairview is going to be a very different experience. The space, the neighbourhood and the way people already use the café all lend themselves to something much more casual and spontaneous. We’re imagining somewhere buzzy where you might pop in for one glass and a snack or end up staying for food another bottle and see where the night takes you.”


The launch marks another step in the evolution of the Two Pups business, which began with a coffee machine operating from co-founder Kevin Douglas’s campervan in 2015 and has since grown into one of Dublin’s best-known independent hospitality names.

Alongside the original Two Pups café and Notions on Francis Street, the business now includes the Fairview café and Bold Boy Bakery, with the team continuing to build its reputation for speciality coffee, ingredient-led food, natural wine and genuinely warm neighbourhood hospitality.
With Notions now firmly established as an evening dining destination in Dublin 8, the move into evenings at Fairview is the latest chapter, but one with its own distinct personality. Smaller, more casual and rooted in the local community, Two Pups Fairview after dark is set to be a different kind of night out.

Whether it’s a post-work glass, a Friday night catch-up, a bottle and some snacks before heading home, or a Saturday evening spent lingering over good food and natural wine, Two Pups Fairview is ready to welcome the neighbourhood after dark.
