Vintage Tea Trips are a visitor experience based in Dublin offering passengers a chance to come on board one of their 1960s Routemaster buses and indulge in afternoon tea while taking in the sights of Dublin with a semi guided tour.

This Halloween season they have teamed up with Experience Glasnevin to bring a Halloween Tour like no other.

The tour begins at the infamous Glasnevin Cemetery where guests will join an expert tour guide on a fascinating journey through the hidden depths of the Cemetery on their Dead Interesting Tour. With 1.5 million people buried in Glasnevin, every plot has a story.

After a walk around the cemetery, Vintage Tea Trips’ iconic Routemaster bus will collect guests from Glasnevin and take them on a jaunt around the city of Dublin. Hannah, aka woman.in.wool,, will regale guests with tales on how the origins of Halloween or Samhain, as it was once known, began in Ireland and share spooky stories and history you won’t find anywhere else.

In true Vintage Tea Trips style a full afternoon tea of homemade sandwiches, scones and desserts will be included with a selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolate to warm guests up after their stroll through the cemetery. Barmbrack will be on board and in true Irish Tradition, a ring must be found by someone on board.

“Collaborating with other experiences in Dublin has always been a major goal for us here at VTT” says Sales & Marketing Manager Ciara McCaughey. “There are so many fantastic experiences that share and tell stories, not only of Dublin, but also of its brilliant characters so it was a no-brainer to reach out to Experience Glasnevin for this tour. Hannah has an incredible love for Irish History and for Halloween and working with her on this has been fantastic.”

The tour takes place on Saturday, October 26th from 3pm-6pm with tickets starting at €59.50 for adults and €38.50 for kids.

Vintage Tea Trips was founded in 2016 by Dubliner Karen Nixon. The company has three buses in its fleet; Pauline, Kitty and Jean and run up to nine tours a day, seven days a week. They also run a Christmas Lights Trip for the month of December as part of Winter in Dublin.
